The number is definitely 100. The two diamond shaped characters are an Arab zero. The stylized "1" is very similar to our 1. I know the Arabic number system from work in the Middle East in a previous life.

And just as a very technical aside, while Arabic writing reads from right to left, the numbers read from left to right. Go figure.

Arabic writing reads from right to left, the numbers read from left to right.That's probably because "Arabic" numerals were a borrowed concept from India, where languages and numbers read from left to right.
