When and if the time comes, I believe we'll have the technology to "fix" the problem. Be it solar reflectors in orbit, or seeding the skys to increase reflective cloud cover. Not just that, but the US would be at the forefront of those efforts. Well, I think it's high time to resolve scientifically - and simultaneously - the following two problems: global pollution and Mohammedan threat.
If an economically viable technology to produce environmentally friendly fuel capable of replacing oil products was invented, Diaper Heads' wouldn't be able to hold the rest of the world to political ransom any more.
Having the US at the forefront of this task would be most fortunate.
