"Not here in TEXAS today.... temps this morning 13 degrees. A meteorologist was quoted int he paper as saying, arctic front will last through much of the winter. We never get these type of cold temps here in West Texas." Yikes! 16 this morning here in Connecticut, suppose to go down to 5-10 tonight but we expect that this time of year.

Yep, it has been pointed out to me by believers in global warming that GW also causes subnormal temperatures. I really like the article that states warming of the glacier from global warming is going to raise the level of the sea and it will wash over the northern hemisphere and cause an ice cap.

If I can keep my wife under control my entire house is electric (new, 2800 sq. ft.) and the highest bill we got was about $140 a month. Thats with a family of 5 with lots of laundry, etc. I rave about this furnace to everyone, I don't know how well the ground loops work, but we have big loops in the lake and lots of insulation so with either the air or heat the bills stay about constant except when we have a really cold winter, then it may go up 20 bucks or so, unless they estimate it.

That is a really efficient machine. I always thought that the thermodynamics for the condensors was a better way. that technology doesn't work well in this area thoug. Florida to the carolina coasts maybe, but here in Tidewater, too much wet cold air to be efficient. gas heat is the way to go.
