Tuesday, December 6th - 10:30 p.m. - third unofficial results from poll sites

Tuesday, December 6th - 11:00 p.m. - fourth unofficial (and tentative last update for the evening)

Wednesday, December 7th - 5:00 p.m. first post Election Night unofficial results from additional absentees, paper ballots and provisionals cast at the poll sites

Dornan's old bailiwick was a 'Rat-leaning enclave, anyhow. He had to defeat a sitting 'Rat back in '84 for the seat.

Campbell will need about a 20% lead when the absentees come in, in about an hour, for the race to be safely called. If it is less than 15%, then it will be a tight race. I would be surprised if the lead is less than 25% myself. But there are no polls, so everything is just a guess. My other guess is that Gilchrist will come in third.

Thanks for the ping my friend, but I am not in the 48th district. I do live in Orange County however. I wish I could vote in the 48th, maybe if I were a Democrat and dead I could.

OC is as conservative as it gets in CA. They are very heavy republican.
