AS A BOYCOTT OF THESE PROCEEDINGS, I AM TAKING THIS FINGER RIGHT HERE AND SHOVING IT UP MY *SS TO PREVENT ANY USE OF ANY FACILITIES, TO DISPLAY MY CONTEMPT OF ANY FUNCTION OF THIS COURT. BY THE TEARS OF ALLAH, YOU SHALL... JUDGE: Okay okay, Saddam, sit your grisly camel *ss down before we send you to Abu Grahb. I hearby sentence you to death, to be shot outside this courtroom in the lobby, in, we'll say...5 minutes. Next? RAMSEY: But your honor... BALIFF: THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ VS. BAGHDAD BOB!

" Hopefully they stripped him hosed him down with a fire hose and placed womens panties on his head!"
One things for sure. He does not seem to like how he is being treated of lately. Perhaps he is no longer getting any Doritoe chips and this has driven him into his current rage.

He's hard core self-delusional, just like Gore, Kerry, Kennedy, Dean, the lunatic left.

"Saddam Hussein and his comrades are not afraid of execution."

Methinks he doth protest too much...

Put Saddam in the shredder and televise it to the entire Arab world.

Saddam: "Honestly, is this the face of a brutal dictator? Do I look like a mass murderer. I didn't gas the Kurds, I sent troops to spray for mosquitoes. Can I help it if Uday didn't read all the FDA warnings before he sprayed? Can I help it if Kurds can't hold their breath for more than a minute? No. And the only reason we drained those swamps down south was so that the Shiites could walk around without getting their feet wet. How was I to know it would ruin their lives? How was I to know that it would make them sitting ducks for a few renegade generals who didn't like Shiites? I really am a good guy with a big heart. Read my book, I'm a lover not a fighter... Can't we all just get along?"

One wonders if Hitler would have behaved any differently if he'd made it to Nuremberg.

Likely not. I would be happier with a speedy military tribunal for Saddam, to be honest. This is becoming a farce. On the bright side, Saddam will be found guilty, since he is, and be handed a death sentance. Anyone that wins the next election will carry it out right away rather than wait on the results of all the other trials. So, by January it should all be over.

What I don't understand:
How can there be a trial? Defendants cannot be tried for breaking laws that did not exist at the time - and at the time, Saddam _was_ the law.
The trial is a farce, unable to legitimately charge him with anything precisely because whatever he did was, by definition (acting soveriegn tyrant), lawful.

Romania had the right idea.
The proper way to deal with Saddam is simply put him back in the hole, this time with a "pineapple".
