Rush interviews Mike Pence
Although I like the interview, this comes directly from the Limbaugh Letter.
Rush - you NEED TO START PUSHING PENCE FOR PRESIDENT!!!
Great interview!
I thought he was interviewing Mike Pace.
What's the date of the interview?
I don't want to be disrespectful or get off topic.
But wouldn't Cong. Pence say something besides "Tom DeLay has been an effective legislator and a leading voice for conservative values in Washington, D.C" if he wanted smaller Gov't in the mold of RR maybe he would have said differently. It appears that the Gov't has grown under Delay's reign.
Yes, I read Rush's interview in his newsletter --- my conclusion at this point, is that Pence is the only voice of sanity and conservatism will to speak in Washington, outside the political fear that the WEAKLING REPUBS have in the Congress of the Bush Dynasty liberal agenda.
It is a real tragedy that Bush is so dedicated to PASSING BILLS FOR HIS LEGACY that he has pandered to the Dems SO MUCH TO GET HIS BILLS PASSED, they are liberal bills. Education, highways (major pork), medicare, all of it -- LIBERAL, LIBERAL, LIBERAL --- what a sorry excuse for legislation.
Pence is right, needless to say. Too bad the people have little representation in the Congress anymore.
The actual interview was over a month ago.Perhaps five weeks.
I want him as our next President!!!
Allen/Pence
Pence\Coburn
Pence knows how to play the game without getting wrapped up and contracting "beltwayitis" which is why I like him. He knows that he cannot burn bridges with the GOP.
If Rush Limbaugh starts tooting Pence's horn for becoming the next President...I think it will make a HUGE difference and put him near the top of the pack. Let's not forget that for all Rush's faults as of late, he's still THE MAN and has over 20 million listeners. Talk about getting Pence some name recognition!
Because Mike Pence proves that you can be a real conservative "without being in a bad mood about it"
Coburn would make a great running mate for Pence. So would Mark Sanford. As you and I have previously discussed, Sanford's a good guy but has some issues (esp. his love for McCain) that make him less desireable than Pence. However, he might make a good running mate too.
Thanks for the ping!!
WOuld never in a million years happen, and I have love Coburn.
He does not take orders, play well with others, and has no interest in furthering his career in politics after his next senate term (he used the word "loser" to describe folks who go on for more then 2 senate terms or are over a certain age and remain in congress.....he has never retracted those comments).
I'd settle for a coburn endorsement.
Sanfords support of McCain is past tense, he simply liked McCains views of cutting spending, and felt that McCain was the only candidate who would cut spending, he also wanted to play the role of maverick, he has no other opinions in common with McCain and supports none of McCains other pet issues, only McCains opposition to pork.
I like Allen/Pence and Coburn as Majority Leader in the Senate. With Coburn, there would not be any grandstanding by McPain!
