I always like Klein because he was (1) relatively un-p.c. Remember his blues-harmonica bit about not being able to stop his leg from moving. (2) he was a comedian who basically noticed funny things and repeated them. I don't remember him as having any political agenda or spewing any bile. He simply wanted people to laugh.
Margaret Cho was actually pretty funny in her past skits where she described growing up as an Asian.
But when a comedian has a political axe to grind, he/she is rarely funny.
Yes she does. In real life her parents owned a small book store on Powell St.(if I remember correctly) and also sold & traded records and used books snd newspapers. When I lived in SF I was a semi-regular customer of theirs. They were very nice and interesting to chat with people. I do not remember ever meetimg Margaret. She would probably have been in her early teens anyway and "invisible" to me. No big loss. But I do have good memories of chatting with her mother and occasionally her father.
Margaret Cho came out about the same time as my favorite comedian, also a second-generation American of Korean descent: HENRY Cho.

Not only does he have a cool schtick : a Korean redneck with a thick east Tennessee accent, but he is totally clean, and does a variety of comedy routines about life in the south, life as a Korean American, and the juxtoposition of the two. His routine about Arab, Alabama (where his wife is from) is hilarious!
Unless she's lost some weight, she looks like 10 pounds of dog squeeze in 5 pound bag.
Roseanne was funny early on...I saw her about 17 years ago as the openning act for Jack Wagner (of General Hospital fame). Roseanne (at that point) was incredibly funny.
Ever heard of Sarah Silverman?
Kathy Griffin's funny and entertained the troops. I heard her on Fox & Friends. She said the whole country of Kuwait smelled like a big f@rt. They really tried to suppress her from saying that at the time. Funny my neighbor deployed in Iraq told his mom the whole country smells like sh!t.
Lucille Ball. I'm not a huge slapstick fan, but she is a classic.
The passing reference to Maureen Dowd is sufficient justification to trigger mandatory application of the Dowd Rule.
But, let's be frank... Almost anything is sufficient justification to trigger mandatory application of the Dowd Rule.
She is more eye candy. Would you actually pay money to see her act?
Ouch, Rita Rudner?
She frequently makes me laugh until I can't breathe. Very funny woman.
