Others (me) will never vote for a pro-abortion candidate. Never. Did you vote for George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004? He supports the three exceptions the same as Rice does.

With gasoline prices out of sight, how do you sell a candidate that once had an Exxon tanker named after her? Gas is $1.96 here in North Texas. That's "out of sight"?

I will not support her in any way if she is "mildly pro choice." Did you support George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004? He's on record as being also "mildly pro-life" in that he supports the three exceptions.

Should this be a race to the bottom? If these candidates were inadequate, should they be cited to justify another?
Why should I overlook Rice's patent negatives? Because others with negatives also failed? Or because she is Black? Or female?
Find me a Black female with charisma who is right on the issues and I will lead the charge.
To: ConservativeDude
So who will you support then? We will have a choice only from among the RINOs with McCain leading the pack. Will you sit it out and see a liberal Democrat take over instead?

At the time Nathan Bedford Forrest participated in founding the Ku Klux Klan, the nation had been torn by civil war, the slaves had been emancipated and there was a tremendous need to bring the nation back together. Forrest and his cohorts chose to do the opposite. They actively set out to murder and terrorize black people and anyone who would aid them. They also actively chose to foster and continue a despicable culture of racism and oppression for generations after the Civil War.
Your attempt to equate the opinions of other historical figures with the heinous acts of Forrest in order to justify your admiration of him speaks volumes about who you are as a person.
Had you acknowledged Bedford's participation in founding the Klan without attempting to justify it with a hollow "well, they did it too" defense, I would have been more open to what you might say about any positive aspects of his life.

Jefferson never manumitted his slaves (apart from mistress and his children)
There is no evidence that Jefferson had a black slave Mistress and children with said Mistress. The best any of the leftists could do in trying to smear a founding father is prove that said Mistress bore one child from a male of the Jefferson line of which there were many. Repeating leftist propaganda doesn't win many points with me.
Why should I overlook Rice's patent negatives? Because others with negatives also failed? Or because she is Black? Or female?
Which negatives would you be referring too? The Anti-Israel smear? She's the Secretary of State and is forwarding the platform of the Administration as is her job. Pro-Arab? Same deal. That she said she is somewhat pro-choice? That doesn't hurt her electability in the least.

Cronyism approaching the style as it was practiced to a mandarin art in the Kremlin. Interesting comment.
Cronyism is really nothing new and is quite common for politicians. Let's just call it returning a favor.
Political appointments, fat government contracts, "earmarked" pork spending, fund raising assistance, etc.
It might cause some people to wonder what in the world Miss Rice has done to be owed so much?
On the other hand, maybe she's just a really good friend of the administration.
Who knows?

The science of DNA only proved that one (and only one) child was fathered by someone from the Jefferson family. DNA did not prove it was Jefferson himself and did prove that the other children (or is it child) were not fathered by any Jefferson.
The science of DNA shows the odds of that one child being Toms is 1 in 6 or approximately 17%. So yes I will stand by the statement of "there is no evidence" and so will any other person sufficiently versed in DNA evidence and are familiar with the case at hand.

Considering the fact that this is from "Rice 2008" and it from "unnamed sources", I'd take it with a grain of salt.
I suspect, that if the President has called her this, it is probably a personal joke between them and doesn't mean anything.

Bush 41 used to be pro-choice until he ran for President. If Condi becomes pro-life, she can probably walk to the nomination.
