It's unfortunate that the North Korean people probably don't realize is that the reason so many of them are starving is because of their maniacal dictator.

Even the Klinton administration knew that we were just feeding their soldiers, anyway.
We've been easy on Cuba and look how long Castro's stayed in power. NO MORE DEALS!

...citing concerns that the food will not reach those who need it. And they just figured this out? The day the aid was originally proposed (seems about a year ago now) Freepers were in near unanimous agreement about this point.

The food was probably being used to feed their military.

And they just figured this out?

Very hard to tell WHO Washington works for...certainly not the U.S. citizen whose tax dollars they glady take.

Why are we feeding the armies of people who are threatening us with nuclear war? We'd be better off dropping all those AK-47s we piled up in Iraq over the N Korean countryside and letting the N koreans overthrow Kim Mentally Ill.
To: wagglebee
but..but...but the NK army will starve?~!?!?!

Why are we feeding the armies of people who are threatening us with nuclear war? All part of the new "compassionate conservatism," I suspect. .....where compassion is heaped upon everyone but the U.S. taxpayer.
But at least the gov't made the right move in this instance, late as it was.

No. I'm sure Foggy Bottom has known all along.
This is just the Bush/Rice reforms finally taking hold.

Heh-heh...If I may steal a line from a vastly-outrageous TV show and use it against the Northern Koreans:
"NO Soup for You!"

I'm glad to hear this. It's about time someone woke up. I want to help people that are really starving though I don't want to spend money on keeping their military in shape.

We have finally decoded the misleading term "compassionate conservatism"...it means LIBERALISM.

We need to feed our own people first.
To: wagglebee
The U.N. World Food Program (WFP), which distributes foreign aid, has been ordered by the North Koreans to cut most of its staff there by the end of December, a move that will substantially reduce its ability to disburse and monitor aid shipments
If they remove the staff, remove the aid.
A page out of Mugabe plan for feeding your citizens playbook.

We need to feed our own people first. Eh? We're the fattest people in the history of the world, and our poor people are fatter than our rich people.
