Silver is a good guy, but it was one of those shallow
one-page NYT mag. interviews that has about a dozen questions and one-sentence answers. A semi-hostile interview, and not very enlightening.
A real interview with Ron would be interesting.
This guy should run for office. How far he has come since the early days of Clinton. Most Hollywood types are trying to get Tookie Williams off death row, he's talking about the 60 year failure of the UN.
Oh and now they tell us that Iran will be nuclear armed in a few months, if I'm Bush I tell them that's the same thing they told me about Iraq !!
Definitely. One of the NY Time's pet HollyWooders would not have been given such short shrift. Here you have a highly educated New Yorker and all the NYTimes can do is pepper him with stupid questions. But Ron made the best of a bad situation with witty replies
Either that, or maybe have a TV show or something. There is such a need for good entertainment, that isn't geared to the liberal propaganda campaign. Maybe the few conservatives there are in La La land, could get toghether and come up with something.

Fine with me if he doesn't. This is an honest, articulate,
courageous supporter of much of the GOP agenda. Good enough for me.

Rudy isn't a RINO, just a social liberal. That's not the same thing. And even so, he's more socially conservative than most Rats. Bloomberg -- yes, he's a RINO. But he's still a non-Democrat, in the sense that he's less bad than the Rats, and not part of their machine. You say you "respect" Rudy "in every way but his pro-abort attitudes" -- one issue simply does not a RINO make. You may judge someone to be unworthy of support on that basis, fine. But to say that someone is a RINO (Republican in Name Only) is to say that they don't belong in the Republican party. And Rudy clearly does. So does Ron Silver, IMHO.
You're right. In addition to a stupid format, some of the questions were stupid, too.
