I liked Hitchens until I saw him talking about Mel Gibson and The Pasion of Christ. He was saying the most vile, disturbing things about Gibson. I couldn't watch him. I was surprised.
To: dandiegirl
I recall him saying that. Tough to hear, though.
The Church of England may have negatively influenced a young Chris Hitchen.
However, as long as he is with us on the WOT/Iraq - let the atheist speak.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1385501/postsNeo-conservatives were labeled such only because of their long and strange ideological journey from radical left to right, a trip perhaps best captured by Kristols famous claim that "a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged by reality."

I didn't know he rolled on the liberals. I did know, however, that he was very articulate, and was not part of the hard left. Interesting. I didn't realize it either until I watched farenhype 9-11. He put them in their place in that documentary too.

P.S. Great tagline!

Hitchens, Bruce, Koch, LiebermanDon't forget Jackie Mason.
To: Inyokern
Once you see and hear Jackie Mason - you don't forget.
But seriously, isn't he again, another example of one of our Jewish brothers, who for some reason gets it. He understands war was thrust upon us, and he supports this president's decision not to kick the can down the road, not to shrink from the decision which would mark his presidency as the American administration that finally fought back against Islamofascism: a festering boil on Islam.

Inyo and Kern counties are beautiful parts of California. Is your name taken from there?

If the likes of Silver, Lieberman, Miller, Koch, and Hitchens were more representative of the Democratic Party instead of moonbats like Mikey Moore, Sindy Sheehadi, Howard Dean, Mad Marxine Waters, and John Kerry, the Republican Party would have some real competition. There would be some real debate. The Republican Party's game would really need to improve instead of watching the Democratic Party train wreck. In a ways, that might be good for the country.

But seriously, isn't he again, another example of one of our Jewish brothers, who for some reason gets it. That is the point. Jackie Mason belongs on the list.
