Hugo Chavez, president of Venezuela, contacted the governor's office on Aug. 30. He wanted Blanco to call him back to discuss Katrina.
"This might be one we should return as soon as possible," Paine Gowen, an executive assistant to Blanco, wrote in an e-mail.
Louisiana deserves better than this leftist militant moonbat communist goveror

When U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, a black Democrat from California, requested security escorts for a New Orleans visit, the head of state police denied the request, saying troopers were busy elsewhere.
Johnny Anderson, an assistant chief of staff to Blanco, warned colleagues to be cautious in dealing with Waters, who is often outspoken about race.
"Please handle this very carefully," Anderson wrote in an e-mail. "We are getting enough bad national press on race relations."

Worried about PR instead of saving lives There are innumerable and meaningful references in these documents to "our national surrogates" -- a transparent reference to the Democrat leadership and the MSM.
Interestingly, the term does not appear in this report by the AP...

While there are some good, reasonable people in that state, the majority voted for this governor, and a host of other politicians like her.
And, will probably continue to do so. So, they get what they deserve.
Louisiana still has two distinct classes, the elites, and the serfs, and hasn't changed much over many decades.

"This might be one we should return as soon as possible," Now why would a return call to Chavez be that important? I really would like Mr Gowen to explain that one. In detail. Under Oath.

Other e-mails reflect the need to dampen rumors that swirled about violence and deaths. Would love to see if another staffer argued that rumors of violence and death were good because they damaged Bush.

Actually, no, Blanco is considered a "conservative Democrat," certainly by national standards. She comes out of the popular J. Bennett Johnston, Jr., school of LA politics.

Free oil for the 'poor' to be funneled through the rat elite cash pipeline.
Joe Kennedy's 'non profit' oil deal in Massachusetts is getting cut rate oil from Chavez... To save the poor of course.
Dictators in general and communist dictators in particular receive extreme deference from their rat allies in our governments, unlike the suckers who elect them.

A conservative dem?
She went on a trip this year to Cuba to kiss up to Castro.
Maybe on paper she is a conservative dem but in reality she isn't.

Old school is out. This is new school. By national AND local standards, she's incompetent and she's toast.

Not fast enough. However, she does have insurance against the GOP attempting to remove her early... Lieutenant-Governor Mitch Landrieu.
