What about that "bottle rocket" that crossed a plane recently out of LAX?

So I guess the Democrats are right to say it's time to bring all the troops home.
IIRC, our intelligence community didn't see the end of the Soviet Union
until chunks of The Berlin Wall were hitting them on the head.
So, I don't expect them to be perfect at detecting a group that
thrives on secrecy and leaderless cells.
And has demonstated a resiliency to keep coming back at targets
no matter how long it takes...e.g., the World Trade Center.

U.S. counterterrorism agencies have not detected a significant al- Qaida operational capability in the United States since the 2003 Ok, but what about those little operations? You know, like those pesky homicide bombers and car bombs. And how about that fanatic cleric they arrested last week because he was preaching jihad? Oh, but I don't suppose anyone's going to admit to all that funny stuff going on in OKC and the dozen or so airplane incidents like the "band" and the threat written on the bathroom wall a couple days ago. But thanks anyway for letting us know we can all sleep safe tonight.

Check out this double talk
"Since the Iyman Faris case and other investigations, the FBI and other agencies are just not detecting an operational capability by the al-Qaida organization in the United States of imminent significance," Brock said."
Hmm...how about any capability with long term signicance?

What about that "bottle rocket" that crossed a plane recently out of LAX? And don't forget the Oklahoma student who supposedly committed suicide outside the Sooners football game.

According to the "experts" of their time Battleship Row at Pearl Harbor could not be attacked with torpedos.
Several hundred people would beg to differ if they could.
The FBI is lying and I would bet that if the second airplane that hit the World Trade Center had not been on television, the authorties would have blamed the incident on pilot error.
