If Taft would come out and denounce Bush...he'd be hailed by the MSM as a Maverick, an Independent, and the push polls would jump.

What are the apparent reasons for these numbers?

What, did they poll the Democrat State House members only?

The same poll gives George W. Bush a 46% approval rating, consistant with other polls. So I don't dismiss this out of hand.

No. It's "who's ever sunk lower." Contraction of "who has."
It must suck to be Bob Taft.

Corruption and heavy taxing & spending. Taft is a RINO who's either corrupt, incompetent, or both. He should resign.

Why is it that high?
Some people must love tax hikes.

It's a shame. Wasn't his grandfather known for being an anti-New Dealer?

Hmmmm... Zogby. I met some of his family a few years ago and I believe the Zogby's are of mid-Eastern origin. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
What's the history on Zogby polls? Do they display a Leftist bias? Is he "push-polling" as so many other Dim-cast "polls" do? Think I'll start a Google or three.
Can anyone shed any light on Zogby?

Look on the bright side though; surely he has enough friends, family and neighbors to keep his approval rate above 2 or 3 percent.
Yeah, I'm a "glass half full" kind of guy....

Could be wrong but Taft might not be able to be re-elected

I don't trust ZOGBY polls, but Taft is in that rarified crowd of being universally despised by everyone.
If not for Blackwell, Ohio would probably go completely Dem next year because of him and the RINO's in that state.

I, on the other hand, do dismiss it out of hand, since it is not a poll, but an on-line survey. It's not scientific at all.
That being said, it would not surprise me in the least if the current approval ratings for Bush and Taft among OH voters were indeed 46% and 6.5%, respectively.

Zogby has always been a dem, so his polls have done a little bit of pushing over the years, sometimes correcting on the eve of elections so he can maintain credibility. He has gone farther to the Dem side in the past few years, as his Arab background has caused him to oppose the President's WOT.

Taft is the ultimate RINO. Democrats can't stand him, and neither can most Republicans.
I just hope Ken Blackwell continues to effectively distance himself from Taft so he can win in 2006.
