Does David Duke sound like Noam Chomsky, or does Noam Chomsky sound like David Duke?

The crux of the matter. We allowed the cancer of Nazism to continue growing in Asia. We only removed the tumor from part of Europe. The overall cancer condition still exists in the patient. Big trouble ahead.

"Pariahs crave legitimacy."

On the contrary, most pride themselves as different and enlightened from the unwashed masses. Validation would mean legitimizing of the herd, and so they tend to avoid and reject such recognition.

When Duke ran for Gov or LA and for Senate he received around 40% of the total vote and a majority of the white male vote.

The International Left has a lot to answer for for basically excusing and apologizing for the growth of David Duke style anti-semitism in the Middle East -- just remember the UN Durban Conference to promote international racism and the one-sided condemnations of Israel but never Palestinians constantly streaming forth from Europe...

I am not sure who is worse. However, I do not think Chomsky would receive 43% of the vote if he ran for statewide election or win an election in Louisiana.

Duke has done both.

Unfortunately, there will be a sequel, "Why did the US let him back in?" The author of that one will have a tougher time finding good reasons.

The first story about Duke in Syria said he was there with others from Russia.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1526908/posts

"The news conference was attended by President of the World Charity Fund for Cooperation and Tolerance Among Religion and member of the Russian Union of Writers Valerie Borokhova, Professor of the Diplomatic Relations at the Academy of politics in Moscow, Director General of Islamic Furqan in Moscow Mohammad al-Rashid, several members of the Syrian Parliament and Arab and foreign correspondents."

Hey Vince,
Probably the same reason they allow the black racist Calypso Louie and his fruit-cakes of Islam to remain here in the USA.(No back-bone)

All those nut cases need to be deported regardless of race color or creed.

As I See It,

I work with a lot of immigrants who are not citizens, and there isn't one of them I wouldn't give citizenship to faster than to let someone like Duke back in here. Sometimes citizenship has the effect just like tenure on a campus, it just makes people a complacent malcontent, because we can't throw them out.

Scary, isn't it?
But you also have to consider who else was running in those races in order to understand why some whites felt compelled to vote for a racist phoney like Duke. What was far worse in my opinion was how whites verbally supported Bobby Jindal and then didn't vote for him when he was running for governor against that numbskull Blanco.

I am from New Orleans and used to be a Big Liberal based on my Louisiana experience. Back then, not all that long ago, many whites were racist, would drop an N Bomb in casual conversation and all said they were Republican.

When I left LA I found that most Conservatives were not racist and then I could become Conservative.
