For the sealed-border crowd, there is nothing Bush could ever do that would be good enough.

He hasn't done anything yet, so how could we say it isn't good enough? When he actually does something other than propose amnesty in the guise of guest worker programs we might start to take him seriously. We need to control our borders. Did you ever hear of terrorist? They are these guys trying to kill us all over the world and they are coming accross our southern border. This is a fact born out by the FBI and the border patrol.

You may want your cousins to come accross but the rest of us want to make sure they have a legal right to be here before they are allowed to come here. ILLEGAL is the key word and is always dismissed by guys like you who want to turn it into a racist thing or a Bush bashing. He deserves to be bashed on the border issue regardless of how well he has done on other things.

The biggest point right now is the terrorist portion of the problem, but the most destructive over the long term is the economic and social part.

Well gollee geewhillikers... I ain't never heard of terrorists. Thanks fer the lesson.

It's the sheer numbers that make it the problem it is.

Seems to me that getting the folks who are just coming over for jobs, and finding a way for them to do so legally and with better oversight, would take away most of the illegal border crossings.

Maybe then the rest of the illegal crossings would be easier to find and enforce.

Or: we can just keep trying to stop tens of thousands a day instead of hundreds. And keep failing at it.

Would a guy in a bow tie, lie? I mean c'mon, what more credibility do you want? It worked for Orville Redenbacher.

It is very sad when your only option on the immigration issue is to punish the party in power!!!

Now just who am I going to acknowledge. The party (faction) that is out of power. Duh! So what faction does it matter. This administration via GW is run by big business & the elites who want cheap labor at the expense of destroying the middle class with the overall intention of lowering Americas formidible position of power in the world. The Bushes, Clintons. etc are puppets to the New World Order. Be assured that the next president will be a member of the Triladeral, etc. and do not expect the illegal problem to be resolved to our (my) satisfaction. The elites power & influence is more important than your vote & mine.

You had better get serious about illegal immigration or I and a whole lot of others will just stay home in November.

Won't matter. The DNC and RNC are running this show and they love their big contributors.

Wrong Bush is serious about immigration and disolving our borders. He's been very serious from day one, he wants to cram his globalism down our unwilling throats one way or another.
