Good observation. This principle applies to most of the things that the left demands. From affirmative action to Kyoto, they establish impossible and dubious goals that only serve to enrich the regulator class.

I've heard more than a few liberals seriously argue that all of the athletic dimorphism between men and women (e.g., strength, size, etc.) are cultural rather than biological and that it's only because of our sexist culture that women are weaker than men. There are some seriously dangerous consequences to those ideas.

I think it's the other way around......my parents were so religious that us kids still are embarrassed to death if they found out we ever had sex (we're in our 40's and never married)....course we were threatened and one beaten for false reasons ...but the family must be perfect in the eyes of a very religious family....no premarital sex (or thoughts apparently) in a Very Religious family.
