There's a link in the actual article that will take you to:
http://da.co.la.ca.us/pdf/swilliams.pdf
If you want to see just how reprehensible this man's crimes were, and how guilty he is, and how ridiculous the left is for trying to claim he's innocent, check it out. It's a PDF file.
First off, the death penalty is not about vengence or deterence or even retribution.
The death penalty is imposed because it is justice. It is society saying that the action was beyond the bounds of human society and you will be removed from that society.
Why are his supporters still calling him by his street name?

Tookie
Maybe the CA FReepers can hold a "Nukie Tookie" rally.....LOL!
If Tooooooooookie is really, no $hit, really, like totally repentant, sorry for his horrible crime, and has like, you know, truly come to Jesus, then..........
He should welcome his impending execution as justice duly repaid for what he did to an innocent. He should utter last words of remorse and penitence, and blame no one for what is about to de done to him.
All else is self serving survival.
Devil take him!
He's only been on death row for about 30 years.
What's the hold up?
Can anybody explain how this waste of human flesh became a celebrity hanky? How many people on death row don't become a celebrity-reject cause? Why this piece of excrement?
I Agree. The death penalty is about respect for life and value of life. The only people who deserve to die are those who do not respect that life is sacred.
Just sent this to Ahhhhnold:
This piece of garbage should have been put out of society long ago. What's the hold up, here? Does it really take 25+ years to kill a cold blooded killer in California?
When I decide to murder a few people, I guess I'll just write some children's books to postpone my execution.
Maybe it will fool enough folks, and they won't execute good 'ol reformed lovable Tookie.
In any case, I'm sure his humane execution will be much less painful than what his victims endured, but hopefully it will be much more frightening.
If Tookie wants to do some good, he should take his punishment and encourage others to NOT do what he did.
He's none of those things. AFAIK he's never apologized or even admitted what he did, despite there apparently being no question whatsoever as to his guilt. He also maintains his gang affiliation in jail, where he's been for longer than his youngest victim was alive. It's about time to toast Tookie, and while the chair's warm, they can go ahead and fry Mumia too.
This guys sounds like a good candidate for the death penalty. In fact, maybe he should be fried 3-4 times before they toss his worthless carcass into some rat hole.
C'mon now, we all know that Jessie, or Al, or Louie, is gonna step up anytime now and claim that Dookie, err I mean Tookie is just a product of whitey and all his greed and generations of suppression.
Sorry I couldn't make my sarcasm rhyme!
If you want a gag, try the official web site savetookie.org. It claims he is innocent and that the prosecutor was a racist. Gag! There is sure to be another big burning in SoCal when he is injected.
Ping for later use in my sociology class. Only one other person in the class understood the other day when I said almost these same things. Everybody else was loking at me like they had no clue what I said.
I did some looking into the Crip vs. Blood affair. The account by the good folks comptonpolicegangs.com (sic... police gangs?) a cop site, in spite of themselves, seems to show that the gangs sprang up as vigilante protection organizations. Wikipedia, for what it's worth, backs up that view. Reading between the lines, the law enforcement wasn't all that helpful in those days and the gangs promised better protection. What began as protection bands, however, quickly dissolved into egos, rivalries, and crime.
There's no possible mitigation for what Tookie is said to have done, if that's what went down, short of some heinous threat from the now-victims.
