More incredible work by American and coalition forces. No telling how many lives have been saved by this discovery.

That's about 2700 fewer IED's now.

Great find.

explosive ordnance disposal experts began the task of unearthing the weapons from a mound located in a field full of similar mounds.

This sounds like the 2700 found could be just the beginning. I'm betting Zarqawi isn't liking this news.

I hope they find a bunch of WMD's

If they do, hopefully they'll realize that's what they are before "controlled" demolitions.

These bastards are heavily supplied by the countries surrounding Iraq. I wish we had an army ten times as big as it is and just invade every one of them and set their people free.

Bravo, they just keep finding the stashes lately. We are winning this war. I just wish the MSM would report this to the population at large.

That's the $64,000 question, I guess. The 2700 rounds found so far could be the tip of the iceberg.

I hope they bring out the NBC detectors before they go digging around there.

2,700 mortar rounds

Large, not massive. Massive is whatever depot it takes 30 minutes to overfly west of Los Angeles.

Discovered? WTF, the entire country should have been blanketed by ground penetrating radar for such caches long ago.

All I hear is the bragging on high tech, and then "they discover" buried weapons
