I never meant to insinuate that the "pimps" or "agents" don't share in the blame. They do. Likewise, the customers or "johns" of these girls are to blame as well.
What I failed to convey is that in many cases the girls willingly enter into a partnership with their agents. They are advanced money and then pay the money back with interest.
Why does the girls choose to do this? Why would a girl choose to become a topless dancer in the United States, or why would a person choose to deal in drugs? Why the focus on Europe or SE Asia when this happens everywhere.
I believe that it is wrong, I just believe that the girls in many cases are not completely innocent of blame.

You know, I don't believe that. I think the oldest profession is "alpha male who can protect and feed women and children."

Being a protective and providing male to a family is not a profession.

NO, to the poster I was referring to was talking about prostitution, not kidnapping...
Besides, there are those that do go into the profession for the business, ie.. Xavier Hollander
Now to the topic, this is the most disgusting animalistic behavior known to mankind, though the concept isn't old, it has been around for ages and it will not go away anytime soon. Just like the war on drugs, rediculously flawed and too many hands in the pot.

How can you compare these 2? The war on drugs and the selling of human beings into slavery?
People start using drugs freely and get hooked and become slaves to it.
NO ONE volunteers to become a human toilet and be used by anyone and receive no benefit from it except not being killed. NO ONE!

Sheeesh, You really are looking into this really deep. I already gave my opinion on this attrocity. No one volunteers to be a human toilet? If you think about it, it is a matter of choice. I agree that NO ONE would want to volunteer for destruction. How ever, does this article stipulate women being "shanghied" or were they already in a situtation that allowed this to occur?
As for the war on drugs compared to the war on human traficing is the same...
I wasn't comparing Forced Prostitution as the same as drug use, but the enforcing the law is the same.

I agree.
The women were being led to believe they were going to work as nannies and maids.
I live over here and it is a large problem.
I don't mean to sound like a hard as* but while many over here are fighting the problem, many in the US and Europe continue to state that it is a 'victimless' crime. They know its not but they don't want to stop it.
My apologies if I have offended.
