"Hi, I'm Teddy Kennedy. I'm sure if we could arrange for you, John Kerry to tell a few war stories, that you could eventually find yourself quite well-off in Democrat circles, if you know what I mean..."

oh yea, and if the stupid senators weren't so dang lazy, they COULD'VE known what the administration knew.
They had ACCESS to it. If they didn't go read it for themselves, it's their own stupid fault. You were "misled" just lazy!
Once again, jf'n blaming someone else.
dork!

Say what you will but this stuff always puts the Republicans on the defensive. It really works with the great unwashed masses. As a political strategy in the current climate, statements like this are excepted as fact and a raised eyebrow is thrown the Republican's way.

My frustration is simple. If your going to take the battle to the terrorists and invade Iraq for example, why does the GOP always *wait* for the next Democrat strike before they respond.

Why not preemptively remind the American people what happened leading up to the war? Cut there legs out from under them as they take their first step. Sweep the knee.

Maybe I don't get it. I'm not denying that reality, but using the MSM Sunday morning talk shows for example to roll out suprise off topic facts that thwart telegraphed democrat strategies seems to me... simple and effective.

They really, really don't know when or how to muzzle their losers, do they? Is Kerry really entertaining a 2008 run? (Gee, do you suppose Momma T still wants to be First Lady?)

Here are a few:

“We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S.Constitution and Laws, to take necessary actions, (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs.” Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998

“I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force– if necessary– to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security.” Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

“Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation … And now he is miscalculating America’s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction… So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real …” Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan.23.2003

I also found the text of the speech he gave on the Senate floor prior to voting to give Pres. Bush authority. There are several quotes there, but that man is soooooooo long-winded I didn't feel like reading all of it.

I heard a little of this yesterday on one of the news shows. Who was it that was saying that indeed, the Senators did receive the same intelligence that the President saw, they just didn't read it?

He didn't even look at ANY intelligence. He stuck a moist pinky into the air and sensed which way the wind was blowing. Just like he did today.

To the point I made in 50, why isn't the stuff you posted being clearly presented to the American people *prior* to these predictable attacks? (rhetorical)

I'm sick of Republican's being on the defensive *all the time*
