took my first deer with an old mossy 20ga bolt. borrowed it from a friend who was taking me out hunting the first time. he told me that out of all the guns that had been out to his property, that one has taken the most deer.
as of wednesday, my 870 20ga is now 2d on the list at 6.

I have a bolt action .410 I inherited. Not sure who made it, I'll have to check.

Bolt action shotgun. Very rare. Even rarer is the pump action double barrel shotgun used by various characters on the Simpsons. Then we have Elmer Fudd who has a semiautomatic shotgun cleverly disguised as a double barrel...never seems to run out of shells.

The NRA really should have an annual awards show for this stuff. Put it on PPV. I'd pay to watch it, say, at $20 for 2-3 hours, proceeds to support NRA lobbying.
You'd probably get more viewers than the Oscars. Imagine the shock in Hollywood!
To: George W. Bush
I'd pay to watch that also. I love stories with happy endings.

"The thug element will watch and prey on the people in belief that are weak" Yeah....story in todays Mercury news (no pun intended) about gypsies faking car accidents and conning old folks of thousands of dollars in fake fees and repair bills.
Be warned.

----My hats off to these fine people who protected themselves from the trash that is over running the country.
Off topic a bit, but stll about San Francisco. This was sent to me at work. Thought it was funny.
Dancing Angel
An angel went to see St. Peter. "All I do," the angel said, "is play the harp endlessly, and I'm getting bored."
St. Peter asked, "What would you rather do?"
The angel answered, "I like to dance."
"We don't allow dancing here in heaven," St. Peter said, "but I can see you need a change so I will allow you to take advantage of a once-in-an-eternal-lifetime offer. I will allow you 24 hours leave to return to earth and dance."
"I'm gone," the angel said and in a trice the angel was in California and quickly found a dance hall run by Samuel Frank. Checking the harp and wings, the angel boogied and danced and had a great time until just seconds remained of the leave.
The angel grabbed up the wings and immediately was in heaven again. Returning to St. Peter, the angel said, "I'm back and I am so happy. I'll never feel bored again."
St. Peter said, "That's wonderful, but where is your musical instrument?"
"Oh, no," the angel said, "I left my harp in Sam Frank's Disco."

Hey guys I was telling my husband about this story and his first gun was a Mossberg 20 guage lever action. He asked me if I could guess where he got the gun. I thought sure it was his older brother. But he got the gun in 1969 with Top Value stamps! He said it was only a few books of stamps, costing regularly around $20.00. Can you believe that? That could never happen now. lol
