1976 was the first election I was eligible to vote, and I did: for Ford. What we on the right will never understand is the left's and the old media's (same thing, actually) fascination with stupid, old, arrogant, dictator-hugging socialists. As many conservatives have said, the left can only win by lying about who they are. Jimmah cloaked himself as a genteel, intelligent, Bible-believing man when he was anything but those things. They were a veneer only.

It's an interesting "What if?" to speculate on how things would have turned out if Ford had won in '76. While I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have given away the Panama Canal or stabbed the Shah in the back and turned over Iran to the mad mullahs, would we have seen Ronald Reagan elected in 1980? Carter was so inept that he ushered in 12 years of GOP Presidents. Would Ford have been able to nurse the economy along to keep people happy with the GOP?

When "Jimmuh" got a Nobel Peace Prize, it proved that the document won't even make good toilet paper. Carter And Clinton have been THE WORST PRESIDENTS America has ever had! Wish God would have called them off the planet yesterday so hell could have it's fill of chiken$hit, worthless scumsucking jerks for the day.

In 1960 you could not have convined 1% of the pop. there would ever be a Prez. like Carter or Klinton. If you proposed to write a book/novel on this you would be told, "Fiction must be believable. It won't sell."

Interesting observation. I can't imagine what would happen if a**hats like Toon or , God forbid, Jimmuh were President during the 1940s. I probably wouldn't be here since the Nazis/Japs would take over Eurasia and Jimmuh would give it to them.

I actually liked Carter's wife, she acted like a First Lady. Much like Laura Bush and unlike the previous one for Arkansas. His daughter who constantly complained about the CIA, is another story.

As for the clintons' eventual demise, what I wonder about is how the clintons feel knowing deep down that most Americans won't shed a tear.

To the contrary. The most respectful emotion will be a sigh of relief. (And I am including here most of their own party.)

Ironically, the only people who will mourn will be disinformed blacks,(THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT? clinton legacy of lynching update), a myopic subset of my people (Yitzhak Shamir Validated: THE CLINTONS ARE "A GREAT DANGER TO JEWS").... and, not surprisingly, the terrorists and other enemies of America.

BIN LADEN FINGERS CLINTON FOR TERROR SUCCESS (SEE FOOTAGE)
THE THREAT OF TERRORISM IS AS CLOSE AS A CLINTON IS TO THE OVAL OFFICE

WHY DID BILL CLINTON IGNORE TERRORISM?
Was it simply the constraints of his liberal mindset, or was it something even more threatening to our national security?

IT TAKES A CLINTON TO RAZE A COUNTRY

PRESIDENTIAL FAILURE, 9/11 + KATRINA

Why hillary clinton should never be allowed anywhere near the Oval Office... or any position of power
REASON 1: SHE HIRED JAMIE GORELICK

HILLARY'S TRIPLE PLAY
the clinton putsch + filegate + the gorelick wall

That IS an interesting speculation; there is a sense of balance in these things. I doubt that President Bush could have won over alGore without the impeachment and sleaze factor, and I doubt that Ronald Reagan could have found the kind of issues that so handily defeated Carter from a Ford administration.

Maybe it's all karma (LOL!)

Extending that out to 2006 and 2008 (blech, it's too early!), what does that tell us about any power shifts in Congress or the WH? Personally, I believe that people are sick and tired of hearing the same tired old platitudes from the left, and when KKK Byrd, Biden, or bloated Kennedy get up and presume to lecture US on ethics or compassion, more and more my response is wild hilarity. The left has become a caricature of itself, and the funny part is they really don't get the joke.

It's yin-yang. In everything good, there's something bad, and vice-versa.

I imagine that if Ford had won in '76 and kept the economy scraping along, he'd have been able to pick his successor in '80. That would not have been Ronald Reagan. I think the GOP nod would have gone to Bush the Elder, who probably would have won, then lost in '84 to a Mondale or even worse a McGovern comeback.

Nixon fatigue. Nixon was almost the most hated president by the left, I say almost because it pales to this BUSHITLER madness.

Oh, do I remember all of this. "I will never lie to you."

Carter lied about everything.

I especially remember Time Magazine publishing something to the effect that we would never beat the Soviets, that all we could do would be to delay their eventual victory over the West while we tried to negotiate a temporary peace.

Thank the Lord for Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Ford was an idiot, but at that time the public didn't realize Carter was even dumber. The Republicans never should have ran Ford. I have always felt the movie 'Rocky' was a significant influence. Call me crazy, but it was the seventies, and the 'underdog' Rocky movie was a blockbuster that year and I've always thought the underdog theme played over into the election. (Mr.KK)

GA Jimmy promised the USA a government as "good and as kind" as the American people! Something went wrong.
