Thanks for the link! I like the looks at that SA58 Carbine. What's the effective range on the FALs/DSAs? I'm guessing about 300 yards.

I like how some little BATF red taper can come up with rules or "interpretations" countering the Constitution. I guess the breakdown in New Orleans means nothing to these pr##ks! I'm tired of paying their bills and getting screwed in the process.

I'm not sure about the effective range, since the 16" is a little non-standard for FAL weapons.

BATF says, in its defense, that the rule has always prohibited parts for "new" weapons, but that they've been letting it slide until now.

Bush needs to nut up and
1) repeal the import ban
2) nullify "sporting purposes" interpretations.

Yeah, he needs to "nut up", but it'll never happen. I've gotten where I don't trust any of them...

If BATF contends this rule has always been on the books, I wonder what authority they have to "pick and choose" which rules to enforce? That's truly rich!
