Exactly. We have an illegal problem based on money and we don't look at it that way. The feel good guys have taken over that branch of govt. Problem is they give us the bill.

Feature this. In S. Fla. we have the opposite problem with the Cubans. They actually fear for their lives living in cuba. They try and escape Cuba from the worst terrorist dictator in modern history Fidel Castro.

What do we do? We send them back asap. These people, Cuban Americans,mostly all have jobs, they work hard, have created their own society and vote pubbies for the most part. So, we send them back even thought they truly are political refugees.
Meanwhile in Mexico.....it's all screwed up.

Chertoff is simply mouthing the views of the Administration. If Chertoff is a jerkoff, then what does that make President Bush? Also, people aren't sent from the public sector to the private sector because of incompetence. Incompetent workers generally move from the private sector to the public sector and if they can't hack it there, they retire.

If he were in the private sector that's exactly what he'd be fired for. Most corporations don't put up with this kind of dead weight.

Just a few weeks ago he was saying how the intent is to 'remove' all illegals.

This is what many do not understand about the Bush plan. He really meant the Feds would "remove" all illegals. The way they plan to do so, however, is to give them all cards thereby removing their illegal status. That's the plan from the get-go and it is the plan right now. They've never considered anything else.

The problem is that they’re not allowed to ask
or not hire those suspected of being illegal.
That’s the catch 22.
But the employers get fined and can’t do anything about it.
Let them ask and not hire without repercussions.
