O'Reilly has been on a tirade about Costco, Kohl's and Walmart not using the word "Christmas" in their holiday celebration. Think I'll send him this article lest he take credit for it when the truth is known.

What's wrong with all honoring all holidays?

Nothing of course.

Now I know I'm going to get slammed for saying this but... there really is a need for tolerence. Now I'm not saying that in the meaning that we should have Gay Pride parades... but come on.. do you seriously think it matters to Jesus if we are saying Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays?

When we got shopping are we even honoring Jesus???? No we are not.

Christmas has become about Santa Claus and gift giving. Many religions and people take part in it.. because it is fun.

Save your Merry Christmas for Christmas day service and for anyone YOU feel like telling it too.

Like I said.. it is the place of business to cater to it's clients. If you don't like that a business caters to everyone.. take your dollar somewhere else... THAT will get their attention.

In the meantime I say to you. Happy Holidays and may the love of Jesus give you peace in your heart.

Many years ago when we sent out Christmas cards to all of our friends, I sent them to a couple of long time friends. Imagine my great surprise about 20 years later to learn that that couple were Jewish. They never said a word about them so I guess they took them in the light they were sent. We are still friends with them after nearly 40 years.

It bugs me that stores make money on Christmas, while at the same time trying to deny it. Bit of a conflict of interest.....

Show the tolerance you espouse and extract yourself from a debate that requires something greater than lukewarm conviction...

You questioning my conviction shows how ignorant you can be.

This has nothing to do with my conviction. The way I choose to live my life has everything to do with my personal relationship with Jesus and nothing to do whether or not Walmart hangs up Merry Christmas signs.

Perhaps you may need to examine your own relationship. Judge not less ye be judged would be apporiate. God would rather see us working on our own sins then going around telling everyone else how to live their lives.

I suggest you revisit some important passages in the bible.

I may have to make it a hobby of mine to take pictures of the Wal-Marts that sell Jesus statues made in Communist China and posters of the Pope. And these are the Wal-Marts I've visited in "blue" states of all places! I never really bought into the "Wal-Mart is the devil" hype. My conspiracy theory is that there's some crooked union types that are trying to negatively influence the free market and a department store chain that has a great logistics & shipping/trucking system that doesn't need union truckers. If politics are going to be raised concerning stuff made in Communist China, then there are plenty of other department stores that use the same CCP labor for inexpensive goods and manufacturing (Target, Sears, JCPennies, K-Mart, etc). The "Wal-Mart is anti-American" argument just doesn't hold water.

Now that Wal-Mart is pro-"Merry CHRISTmas", what will the anti-Wal-Mart crowd say?
