George P. Bush is being groomed for Tex. Attorney General and then Tex. Governor in order to set the stage for a national race.
"I've heard this rumor that Cheney is resigning in 2006. . ."
That rumor has been floating since at least the summer of '04, before the election. Then a last-minute switch of running mate for "health reasons" was supposed to flabbergast the Dems and give Bush a bounce over Kerry on election day.
Didn't happen then, and I doubt it does at all. Who knows? But don't hold your breath.
I wonder if Tom Delay will be a candidate when his legal troubles are resolved.
If not Connie then I would suggest either Sen. Sessions or Sen. Gram.
Then he can take on Chelsea Clinton.
Hillary will go into the election with a built-in disadvantage of 5-10 percentage points due to Americans who would never vote for a woman over a man. Having Condi as an opponent neutralizes that disadvantage.
Tom Delay starring at The Exterminator. :-)
I wonder if Warner would take Hillary as his VP candidate?
A poll in 2005 about the Presidency in 2008 seems a bit premature if not ridiculous. I'm just hoping Bush gets yet another SC pick before spring 2008 and finally learns how to use the veto.
Hillary would never take that job.
If the dems were smart they would... but are they smart?
Doesn't matter if it's Gingrich, doesn't matter if it's McCain. All that matters is NOT letting a Clinton or Kerry into the White House.
THIS NEEDS TO BE POSTED ON THE MASTHEAD OF THIS WEBSITE.
YOU COULD NOT BE MORE CORRECT!
Rudy is much more liberal than I am, but I would enthusiastically support him. He is a leader and, as you write, he "gets it" on the War on Terror.
Dr Rice has never stood for office. Starting with the Presidency is rather a tall order. Yeah, Ike (my cousin) pulled it off rather well, but he did have rather impressive credentials and a more homgeneous country to lead.
McCain? He's too crazy.
Don't know. I'd guess it will be someone that most don't know much about right now, someone not well known. People like someone who is new and improved so they can trasfer their hopes and dreams onto that blank slate.
What kinda sexist post is that?
