I don't know yet. I don't like what is out there. I am hoping by at least 2006 some more people will start looking to run.
I agree with you.
Yipee, Biden and Richardson running for President. Yes, give Hillary the boot.
As you suggest, I doubt it. Joe Lieberman ring a bell? The most reasonable dem voice was the first to drop out, IIRC.
Not so sure about this one. *Hypothetically* speaking, (cough), revelations of a past affair with a married Congresswoman from California wouldn't help anyone's presidential campaign, especially among female voters...
Correct. My husband is a dem and supported Lieberman, but when he dropped out, he ended up voting for Pres. Bush.
The governor thing doesn't hold water. Carter got in because of the Nixon Ford debacle. Reagan got in because Carter was a horrible president. Clinton got in because the reps were split. Bush got in because Clinton scandels.
Electorally you cannot say they would win NM and VA automatically until you see who the REP nominee is first. Richardson and Warner might not run well in Michigan, WI, Minn etc, or if Say aNortherner like Guliani was running he would take Maine, NJ, NH etc... its all Geographics mate.
What's with Joe Biden's 'common man' rap? During the Roberts hearings, his patter was so transparent: "Hey judge, how 'r ya doing today? I was just in the rotunda talking with the shoe shine guy, and he said..."
He's also the most dangerous type of politician. Exudes the "appearance" of a moderate.
He's not.
