As WND reported, Wal-Mart is facing a national boycott organized by the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights Good, more stuff for me. I wonder if anyone at World Nut Daily if bothers to do any research before printing their sad excuses for news

Thanks for the information about Hobby Lobby. I hope they get to all 50 states soon.

Notice we're getting more like the left every day!Off topic maybe to carry your point further, but we do have to be careful on that! This usually happens when when it becomes more important for people to stoke egos (with evermore bizare opinions) than to speak the truth. Let's be cautiously mindful of this as "the thinking" site

We still don't know the year.
That is the reason I dont take offense at using B.C.E and C.E instead of B.C and A.D.

Well, I do, because it is politically correct. Jews useBCE, and CE because they deny that Jesus is the Christ. A.D. after all means in the year of Our Lord. Others use it to disrespect Christians. Symbols means a lot. That is why the French revolutionaries abolished the Christian Calender, and even the seven day week. It was to show their general hostility to religion. Of course, they also did more substantive things, such as sending priests to guillotines.

I dont because I think of it as more accurate, not as being PC.

More accurate? How so? You don't know the zero point in either case.

Most of our Christmas shopping is already done.......and not a dime of it was spent at Wal Mart.
I may add that I represent their prime demographic........good income, large family. Their loss.

As the terminator between BCE and CE is an arbitrary date it is by definition a zero point. Using the birth of the Christ assumes a zero point that could be years off and most likely is months off. There is also the problem of dates in the week following His birth. Assuming He was born on 25 December, what year would an event be in that occurs in the days immediately following His birth? Would it be BC before He was born (no, that cant be) or would it be AD (no, it cant be that either because the date changes on the evening of December 31).

You deny there was such an employee?
In my post I said that he spoke "for" the company by the position he was in. Target and ABC have had similar experiences in recent years.
That's what they get for putting bigots in positions of authority.

Who runs Wal Mart today.
Are the Waltons just clipping coupons and voting at BOD meetings?
Smells like what happened to Disney after they foolishly let Eisner in.

You deny there was such an employee?I did, because it seemed so ridiculous. Found out over the weekend this numskull actually existed. (You know how those urban myths can get started - when something seems this ridiculous, I take it with a grain of salt.)
Nevertheless, it seems that WalMart took pretty quick action once it was brought to their attention. Obviously, he wasn't voicing WalMart's position.
