Did anyone bother to inquire whether women who are considered more attractive are more fertile because they feel attractive? Psychology plays a big role in arousal, so I wonder whether women who are being "affirmed" as sexy feel more horny and thus have more hormones raging. I don't know if there is a psychosomatic connection between arousal hormones and fertility hormones, or for the latter by themselves.

Because the researchers were expecting a "survival of the prettiest" conclusion, they may have explored only that avenue. It would be interesting to know whether depressed women (even pretty ones) release as many pheromones during ovulation.

In six months there will be another study that completely and utterly contradicts this one. Then both sides will go to the government and get grants to do more studies on useless bs like this.

The really interesting part of these studies is how the researchers got the grants in the first place. I could retire next year if I could figure that one out.

I have often joked about trying to see if I could get a government grant to have Matthew Lesko whacked. That is the only way I see to stop him from encouraging people to siphon money out of our government.
