so who are you going to elect? remember that GWB did not take any federal money to get elected. Further, that his army of "pioneers" elected people like Norm Coleman and Mel Martinez. The leader is not a guy that required the people to elect him, rather he built a huge team and went out and executed a plan of going door to door to register more republicans than at any time in history. He traveled farther and saw more groups than any past republican and in every election he added seats in Congress - not a record matched by Reagan or any other president in the past 50 years. I wish all the people that keep bashing President Bush would recall of few things he has done that have never been done. Oh and he didn't run from a fight in Lebannon. He didn't leave the Marines to lick their wounds.

The problems spoken of are directly related to the voting population in our country. Back in George Washington's time, 80% of the people voted, 20% did not. Today, 20% of the people vote, and 80% do not. There's the problem. The voices of the people are to be expressed by voting, but 80% are not doing so. If they would , "Get with the program and vote" many of today's problems would vanish.

I never bashed President Bush. I criticized his nomination to the Supreme Court.

When a person is bashed in any way, shape, or form, however cleverly it is done so as to attempt to hide the the true nature of that dirty deed from the public, that is not free speech. It is not free speech because it infringes upon the rights of someone else-words hurt if used incorrectly. Getting back to the nomimation of Harriet Miers, she was picked by the President(which it is his obligation according to our constitution). It is also the obligation of our Senate to conduct orderly hearings to determine an appointees' fitness for duty. That never occurred. Some members of our Senate were quite irresponsible by bashing and/or saying and doing nothing to stop other members from doing so. True freedom of speech(as outlined in our constitution)must follow a certain order, otherwise chaos results. That did occur. And until they decide to stop being chaotic, our freedom of speech will remain in jeopardy, as it now is.
