Conservatives need to eliminate both Voinovich and DeWine the next time both are up for re-election. There is no reason to tolerate either in a red state like Ohio.

Stuff a sock in it, Spanky. You won your Miers jihad.

Now you want to put two Democrats in the Senate from Ohio?

Coulter is now on FNC with John Gibson claiming she's not gloating in spite of an ear-to-ear grim.

She's plugging Janice Rogers Brown now.

All the opinions given are true. But let's not forget the lesson, here. Quite clearly, our lovely Miers' bashers in Washington that apparently gave her such a hard time, got their way. Doesn't that sound like what spoiled brats do? They kick and scream until everybody gives in. And I thought we elected 1 President. However, many others think they are president, too. Is there something wrong with this picture? Does our constitution say that we should elect 1 President, but if any one else chooses to kick up a fuss and do some bashing, they can be the president? Things seem to be along the lines of, (what is right-is wrong), and (what is wrong-is right). Sounds like our nation has become quite confused.

maybe all the folks so happy with this Miers deal should notice a trade off by the President..."you stabbed me in the back, so I restored prevailing wages in the gulf coast." Just remember who is the President.

Janice Rogers Brown sounds good to me. And besides, Anne Coulter has a lot of smarts about her. So, I say, "You go Girl."

Why oh why are GOP politicians from my state so embarrassing (Ken Blackwell being an exception)?

***

Don't feel too bad. I have two Dem senators and one of them hated by everyone on here.

Only idiots sit back and let our elected officials just do what they want without any input from the constitutes. Some people on this board think we should elect people and then never voice our opinion to them if they are not doing what they said they would do when they ran for offfice. That is just plain stupid. If you elect someone, even the president, you should voice your opinion if he is not doing what he promised he would do. That is how our system works. It is not being a spoiled brat, etc.

Miers was a big mistake, and we did the right thing in making sure that she was not confirmed.

"Let's move on," said Republican Sen. Trent Lott of Mississippi. "In a month, who will remember the name Harriet Miers?"

About the same number as remember your cozening up to a raciest Dixicrat.

"Democrats accused him of bowing to the "radical right wing of the Republican Party."
Well, at least somebody gets it!"

It's not bowing; its called listening to your constitutes. It is the way the system should work.

Why is she plugging Janice Rogers Brown now? Coulter, Rush and others good conservatives, consciously or unconsciously oppose mher because they don't trust Miers being an evangelical. And it is now important to note the relative proportion of membership in various religious group these conservatives are pushing. One religious conservative group can not be overly proportion on the court. President Bush cares and has done so much for us. Coulter and others conservative seem not to care for our President. Why? Why have they hurt him? Ingratitude I think. It hurts what they have done to President Bush and when will we have another like him? God Bless President Bush.

Don't follow Bush or any other leader blindly. If they do something wrong, call them on it. Otherwise, we will all be worse off. We have let Pres. Bush slide on a lot of things (excess spending for one) when we should have spoken up. Speaking up to stop the Miers mistake was the right thing to do, regardless of what it does to Pres. Bush.

"Uh.. The people on her Bowling team?"

It was bad enough that people engaged in this kind of cheap shot when they had something to gain. Now it's just gratuitous and childish.

Trent...buddy...you can really be a jerk. Learn to think before you speak. Was pushing her over on her way out the door really necessary?

""Let's move on," said Republican Sen. Trent Lott of Mississippi. "In a month, who will remember the name Harriet Miers?"

"What an insensitive boob."

To answer the boob: her family, her many friends and professional associates throughout Texas, her fellow church members, the judges she has helped vet for the federal courts, the White House staff, the president of the United States, and a lot of average American citizens who admired the way she handled her poor treatment, among others.
