I've already stated all of those things clearly, Jeff.Well I guess in a 2900 post thread, I may have missed it.
In any event, she was not denied any of her rights.

Veterans should establish a political party and offer candidates at all levels.
They're the only group that is large enough and has the appropriate background to be trusted with power.
Right now, there's a monopoly of lawyers in power in both parties, and that is not working well.
To: Howlin
Give one reason -- just one -- why politicians would pay the slightest bit of attention to your concerns if they knew it wouldn't affect your support for them.

No ... but I do think she reads the papersFrom what I read from the pundits, they were respectful but unconvinced of her qualifications.
To: nicmarlo
This wasn't my reply. In fact I raised an objection.
To: JeffAtlanta
You think that conservative is the same thing as Republican? I think someone can be both
However, If they don't want to be part of the republican party ... then leave
I'm sure their new found buddy and hero, Pat Buchanan would love to have them

We let them in and they trashed the house. Um... we "Conservatives" handed you "Republicans" the "House" along with the "Senate" and "Presidency."

From what I read from the pundits, they were respectful but unconvinced of her qualifications. Ann "cleaning lady" Coulter? You're kidding, right?
To: JeffAtlanta
Just listened to Special Report. It seems that Miers wasn't doing well in her meetings with Republican Senators.
Her withdrawal was more likely due to that than the Borking of her (which DID occur) previously.
If that is the case, I stand corrected on her being denied her right to the hearing.

Thomas Jefferson or Wesley Clark?

Wow, sounds like that's right out of Starship Troopers, which didn't necessarily espouse an illegitimate political system, imo.

However, If they don't want to be part of the republican party ... then leaveMy house has a leaky roof. I'd rather fix it than abandon it.
The same can be said for my party.

I know Rudder; I was including you, as it was your "BS" reply that caught my attention to the post.

Heh, I guess we're just not "moderate" enough...Miers figured out that she had become radioactive, and it makes me wonder all the more why Bush ever supported her in the first place. Somewhere along the line he must have figured that she was causing problems for him.
