Don't forget, some of these Republican politicians are the same people who want creationism to be taught as accepted scientific theory in our public schools.

Accepted scientific theory? Not quite accurate.

How about alternative theory?

If one of the Wilson neighbors had a clue before June 2003 that Valerie worked for the CIA, don't you think the Republican scandal machine would have blabbed about it by now?

Andrea Mitchell blabbed on the "Imus in the Morning" show last year (2004) that she was aware of Plame's status before the leak. In fact, she said Plame's CIA employment was well known in Washington cocktail circuits.

I can't believe they would not put him under oath since he's the one who started this ball rolling. And I can't understand why it would matter what the neighbors knew, unless Fitzgerald were trying to find out if he lied to the grand jury about his wife's status being a secret.

i read an article saying Plame is a CIA 'officer'.
does the CIA have officers? or is that just anothe way of saying analyst, without admitting she was just an analyst.

"... new questions...have bombarded the White House...".

They ask questions and then write a story about themselves bombarding the White House with questions. The MSM grows more and more partisan as they scream of their objectivity. Indeed , they get downright bitchy when any Administration figure fails to give them a "gotcha" moment.

The Republicans are well known for promoting their wet dreams as supported by facts.

Projecting again I see.

The New York Times, the harbor for liars, dissemblers, and plagarists, is always ready to muddy the waters of National debate.

Does he have to get approval from some higher authority to convene another GJ? A judge, the Justice Dept, Congress??

Fitz got his authorization for this investigation from the Justice Department.

So, yes, he would have to get further authorization to convene another Grand Jury.

Can't claim ignorance? I claim ignorance - or at least confusion - apparently no one can answer the question whether a person going to a desk job daily over a period of five years at the CIA is a covert operative. Isn't that a basic question that should be able to be answered quickly?

So I guess the Justice Dept would allow it since not to do so would make it appear that the Bush Admin is trying to cover something up. Wake me up when this fiasco is over.

This has been one of the most frustrating aspects of this whole 2 year ordeal. According to some reports, she worked there over 6 years.

PLAME WAS CERTAINLY A COVERT AGENT!!!

I'm just not sure this particular law covers outing an agent who is working covertly against her country.

if there is a trial of any kind one thing I would hope for is to subpeona Wilson's FORMER wife, the French spy. Since Wilson appears to be an agent of a foreign power that might help smoke out some cockroaches.

At least Andrea Mitchell had the good judgment not to publish information about Mrs. Wilson in the national press, if the Republican scandal machine quoted her accurately and if what she allegedly said is really true.

They are putting all this BS out so that when nothing comes of this mess, they can say the facts are in but the prosecutor was afraid to bring charges or some such line.

I think both the Dems and their bosom buddies the MSM are trying to pressure Fitzgerald into bringing indictments.
