Waaaaayyyyyy before my time.
No one even wore blue jeans in my day. Ladies didn't even wear slacks.
No, they probably won't mind.
For sure when he appears in Court his 'gothic' will be only a memory. .
. . ..and 'yes', the 'reap/sow' crowd does not really 'get' the 'reap/sow' message.
The kid wore gloves?? There is definately more to this story.
He could write books about Goth home decor as shown by the following example:
There's even a new book about Gothic home decor: "Paint It Black: A Guide to Gothic Homemaking" (Weiser Books 2005).
New York City author Voltaire says he wrote it because he was frustrated with shopping for home goods "looking for Edward Gorey and being surrounded by Eddie Bauer."
In his book, Voltaire uses tongue-in-cheek humor to explain Goth subculture and give practical decorating tips on how to make any room look dramatic, romantic, and eerie. (For the record, he discourages readers from painting walls black; instead he recommends more romantic hues, such as Benjamin Moore's Exotic Red.)
Probably is more to the story.
You may not be sooooo old. . .took a l o n g time for the 'ladies' to catch up with Kathryn Hepburn.
In my town, they work at TJMaxx.
This kid either PLANNED attacking her (gloves, knife, wood) or they've got the wrong dude.

OMGLOL. . .thanks for the update. . .had no idea they were coming into their 'own' so to speak.
I think he went up there looking for his equipment or else.
This Voltaire guy was even interviewed on one of the news tabloid shows. Very strange.
I sure hope we hear more about what really happened because for me, this whole thing doesn't add up.
I do hope we learn more. But it might just be a rage killing because he suspected Vitale was withholding his equipment and lying to him when she said she didn't have it.
In the small town where we lived in the mid 70's we didn't even go into town unless we had a dress on, or skirt and blouse.
I imagine they go on to the next level which is DU and/or MoveOn.
I don't know whatever happened to him. He just wasn't there anymore - may have had a heatstroke. :o) Sometimes little kids on bikes would follow him at a distance just to look at him I think. I saw him once stop and turn to look at them and the kids hit their brakes. He was pretty spooky looking. Between the kids and myself watching him - he got the attention he was seeking. Funny how with some people - negative attention is better than no attention.
I've seen a large group of high school age gothics at a fair and I look at multiple piercings, strange hair, etc. and I wonder...where are your parents FGS!
He bought it with stolen credit cards and had it sent to an address other than his own so he wouldn't be tracked...or at least that's the assumptive logic. Pretty common for teens (or anyone for that matter) with stolen cards to do this.
How do they know how many times she was struck? Did the guy confess to her killing? Did he confess to actually hitting her 30+ times? And if he didn't, how is it that the police/investigators can tell that she was hit that many times?
The coroner determined the number of strikes during autopsy.
