Hey, if you want a fully socialist America, with no chance of a real conservative becoming president again because of the combination of an influx of immigrants gaining the vote and financially stressed American workers, go right ahead, but please do not cry like a baby when your taxes go though the roof as a result.

So part of the immigrant problem we are experiencing is related to the inflated medical care expenses we provide in this country. Would this point of view also include the $100 medications that can be purchased in Canada for $20.00 ? How can we lay this blame on the immigrants, Mexican, vietnamese, chinese or any other ?

Immigration enforcement did indeed work between 1924 and 1965, it allowed America to catch her breath so to speak to assimilate a large number of immigrant groups.

Also, the way to stop this ILLEGAL invasion is to arrest, fine, seize assets of those who do hire illegals. But hey, I guess you cant get in the way of making money. Anyways, your "logic" would be the same "logic" used to defend drug dealers, "selling drugs the drug makers dont want to sell" because they make money.

Hey you back, I want an America that I was schooled to believe in. I want an America that believes in the "Declaration of Independance" the "Bill of Rights" and the "Constitution". I want an America that believes in the words of the poem written so many years ago by Emma Lazarus inscribed on the Statue of Liberty. I want an undivided nation of mutitudes of nationalities all working and living together for the common good. I want this nation to rid itself of all racism, that's what I want. BTW your not saying my taxes are already through the roof are you ?

Thanks you make a great point there which I'd forgotten .... Immigration from 3rd world country does cost the taxpayer. Btw, my mother was a war bride from Europe. Even though my father was a senior NCO in the Army, my grandfather had to pledge that Mom would never be a burden to the Public Treasury, before she could immigrate here.
And for the record, If I were born in a third world hell hole, I too would run, jump swim ... or what ever to get here. Further more, I have no ideas on how to get control of our spiraling medical costs except halting immigration of persons without a sponsor (i.e. someone besides the taxpayer to cover the medical bills. Got time for a short war story ?)

Look at California and see what is in store for the US if this flood of immigration is not stopped. You can talk about slogans all you want, the4 statue of liberty is just a hunk of copper and steel when all is said and done, it doesnt impact my day to day life, on the other hand, who is in charge politically does very much so have an impact on my day to day life, and again, as more immigrants get the vote along with an increased number of displaced American born workers, the chances increase the US will become full socialist. As for your taxes, if you are for this flood of immigranmtion, then you have no right to complain that they are too expensive.

It's kind of like sticking our heads in the sand isn't it ?, Isn't the real problem that we just don't like these people because they are willing to work for such little pay and we are affraid of our own employment future ?. What is it exactly about these people that is so different from the other populace of this country ? Why so much Hate for these folks? Ok, the general discussion here is that they are illegals. As I have posted earlier in post 19, registration wouldn't be any harder than it was on Ellis Island around the turn of the century. What confounds me is what the profound excuse is for all the hate.

Illegal aliens are LAWBREAKERS. I don't like LAWBREAKERS. Do you like LAWBREAKERS?

Many know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Recently there was an immigration-overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of American's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor named Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, "Mexifornia," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'"

1. "Here is how they do it," Lamm said: "Turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bi-cultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual.

"The historical scholar Seymour Lipset put it this way: 'The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.' Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans."

2. Lamm went on: "Invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

3. "We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: 'The apparent success of our own multi-ethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentrically and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.'"

4. Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America reinforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

5. "Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school."

6. "My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population."

7. "My sixth plan for America's downfall would include dual citizenship and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other."

"A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshiped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy Persia threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to over come two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. "E. Pluribus Unum" -- >From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'unum,' we can balkanize America as surely as Kosovo."

8. "Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits ~ make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate."

"Having made America a bilingual/bi-cultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them."

9. In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, "Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis's book Mexifornia. His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book."

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Every discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.'

American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America - take note of California and other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book "1984." In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is strength."

Governor Lamm, walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

If the major problem in this country is illegal alienship then would it not be more responsible to apply registration and add to our tax base ?

Foreigners are welcome to come to the United States to pursue their happiness as long as they do so LEGALLY. We already let in approximately one million legal immigrants per year. Immigration to the United States needs to be done in a legal and orderly manner, and limits need to be set as to how many foreigners our country can adequately absorb each year.

Any number of ideas would certainly work better than the lack of system in place now. Such as granting temporary 6 month work visa's. For crying out loud what is so hard about this ?.

And who or what is going to make these "temporary" workers leave after their 6-month visas expire? Many illegal aliens in the United States today originally came here on work visas, student visas, or tourist visas and then simply stayed here after their visas expired.

Responding to these and other atrocities, a class action lawsuit was filed Oct 18 in Los Angeles on behalf of hundreds of undocumented immigrants living throughout the United States.

This is just the beginning. I'm surprised that it took the ambulance chasing lawyers this long to target the government. This is the NEW class of "victims" that will be suing for ANY and ALL things possible. Forget the fact that they are in our country illegally. NONE of these things would be happening to them if they would stay in their own country.

Perhaps EVERY American who has been affected by being raped, beat up, having a loved one murdered, killed in a car wreck or any other way illegals have affected their lives, need to start suing Mexico in the International Courts for allowing their citizens to come into America. Mexico KNOWS it's a problem, and yet they haven't done anything to solve the problem. In fact, they have encouraged it. Now, how do you think they would like that? LOL

These people are comming and have been comming for the last 200 years !. They need to be registered. We need a better way of knowing exactly who these people are.

That's why we have immigration laws, so that we can register foreigners who want to come to the United States, and by registering them, we know exactly who these foreigners are. The problem is that millions of foreigners are not abiding by our country's immigration laws and are instead entering into and/or living in the United States illegally.

I'm glad you use Mexican. In California, everyone is Mexican.But since the 60's the caucasian words LATINO and HISPANIC have been misused and applied to Mexicans to give them some degree of credence to their "cause". Part of the commie take over of our govt. CFR plans involve Bush, Fox, and the Canuck to make the two continents into super continent. But to get to this point theyve worked in cahoots with the liberals to destroy us socially while the republicans work on the outside. God commanded the israelites to establish a nation with common culture and language. Our govt hates us and God so we have to deal with its illegal policies.

Get caught doing 32 in a 25 MPH zone and we might as well look the other way when someone burns down your house, rapes your daughter, and murders you and your wife. THAT is how we treat people who break the law in our coutnry. THAT is what law breakers deserve.
