Yes, it would have scared the crap out of me too. Did you contact mossberg? I own a mossberg, but i prefer to shoot my winchester 1300 most days. Thank god the gun was pointed in a safe direction. Are you hunting this year? I just got back the other night from hunting deer.
My dad and I figured that a part of his glove must have caught the trigger when he flipped it over to shove in the last round. It was an eye opener. Of course our Brittany Spaniel was quite confused as well. She ran about 15 yards after an assumed downed bird that she never pointed then stopped and looked at us. I could almost hear here thinking, "ha ha, very funny guys."
It's not deer season here yet. Will be deer hunting around Thanksgiving though.
