LOL! You beat me to it.

I love how the democrats STILL DON'T HAVE A PLAN ON HOW AMERICA CAN DO BETTER. A slogan won't do it!

Say, what happened to John Effing Kerry's plan to end the war in Iraq? Still secret I guess.

My suggestions for the Dems:

"Raise Taxes not Armies"

"Cut Freedom not Pork"

"Vote Democrat" (written in Spanish)

In the last four years alone, their firms have collected more than $2 million in lobbying fees from special interests that were represented by the kids and helped by the senator in Washington.

We could start with putting this turd in jail.

"Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid has anything to say about it, the phrase "America Can Do Better""

This phrase first came to mind when the senator from Nevada was looking into a bathroom mirror, and in that frame of reference I agree 100%

"A slogan doesn't stand on its own," Judge said, calling Reid's slogan "tepid."

Tepid describes Reid to a "T".

How about 'It's deja-JFK all over again'.

These fools are still reliving the 60's.

"America Can Do Better"...It's not upbeat at all. It's basically the same message they had in '04 directed toward disgruntled democrats. They're still yackin about George Bush and have nothing to offer anyone. BTW Will someone tell them there is no presidential in 2006! I say go ahead and use it!

What I find funny is a year ago 100,000+ liberals could show up and march in New York on a Sunday against the war, but yet none of them showed up at the poles in the '04 election. And they think this slogan will help them in a mid-term???

'I'm lovin' it!' (the jingle)

Experts say political slogans are not chosen -- or used -- lightly, but instead often are tested first on focus groups. That was not true in this case, Reid spokeswoman Tessa Hafen said.

Ordinarily I hate the whole "focus group" concept, but in this case maybe the Demos should have stuck to their time-tested method. This is an attempt to echo Ronald Reagan's "are you better off now, than your were four years ago?" 1980 slogan. Add to this the reports that the Democrats are busy preparing a "Contract for America", and you realize that David Brinkley was right: these guys have no imagination, and no vision.
