It's actually something that's normal in most of the world. Takes a lot of parental dedication, and it's not something our family would do well with, but it's not unreasonable or totally impossible.

It's actually not a new thing, it's older than diapers. That's how many third-world countries have done it for centuries. There definitely is a problem in the other extreme in the US with 4 year olds still wearing diapers during the day.

That grunting and bearing down reminds me of a Democrat trying to come up with an idea what they would do in I raq to make it better.

Yes, 4 year olds in diapers is usually because of lazy parents.
An article on this was posted lasted week.

In parts of California, there were movements afoot to "ban" diapers, and/or make purchasers pay a "special discard" price at time of purchase; and because... "diapers (disposable)are "bad" for the environment.".
Do I suspect anything at all with this "diaper free" agenda?
Of course! I do.

My kids were potty trained by letting them know they'd get big boy/big girls underwear/panties and not have to wear a yucky diaper that gets poop all over your butt and pee that sits on your skin. They understood it was kind of gross so they wanted to learn. Both were trained by 2 years old.

4-year olds wearing diapers in the US, 4-year-olds still breastfeeding in the US. Something about these two compar/contrast images hit at my global solar plexus.

Potty trained parents. What idiots. Don't use diapers because of the laundry, etc. but what do you do in a really cold climate. You have to put clothes on them and they'll go in those. Some people are so out of touch with reality that they don't realize that not everyone lives in a nice warm So. Cal. climate. DUH! The whole idea stinks if you ask me. I've seen this before on CNS and busted a gut over it.

I'm sure that you are correct. The anti-diaper crowd will no doubt recommend abortion as the most cost-effective alternative to diapers.
