The charges allege that they euthanized three cats from an Ahoskie veterinarian after promising to find the animals new homes, according to the new warrants. What peta is killing animals? How will they spin this out?

Kind of like the self-proclaimed children's advocates who are such rabid abortionists . . .

Very true, I don't think they will see the irony.

They also got away with this in VA. a couple of months ago. The communist press gives them a pass.

I don't think they should go to prison. I think they should be sentenced to work in a slaughter house, or a fur coat factory!

What peta is killing animals? How will they spin this out? Actuallyk PETA has no policy on killing animals. You just have to be nice to them before you kill them.

The counties are now euthanizing animals without help from PETA. The sad thing is that there are so many unwanted pets in the first place.
Please, people. Don't breed your animals on a whim. Spay and neuter your pets. Even if you think it'd be fun to have a litter and you'll find good homes for yours, the owners of their offspring may not be so careful. You're responsible for that.

Police began investigating this summer after carcasses of cats and dogs in plastic bags were found in a supermarket garbage bin in Ahoskie every Wednesday for four consecutive weeks. At least 80 animals were found. I just don't understand why PETA got involved in this. I knew that they were kooks. I just didn't know how kooky they could be. It's just bizarre. The counties would no doubt have to put down some of these animals, but some of them might also have found a home before that fateful day. PETA removed all chance for that.

Bad logic; carried farther, I could be held responsible for feeding birds after one flies into a jet engine and the plane crashes.

The only surprising thing here is that they weren't eating the pets, too!
PETA is just another sham organization, whose principle function is to scam gullible people out of their money.

It's not bad logic at all. People breeding mutts are perpetuating the problem of overpopulation. If you decide it'd be fun to let fluffy have puppies, what keeps all the owners of the puppies from deciding the same thing? and so on and so on and so on.

I didn't say no dogs should breed. Just that far too many backyard pets and muts are bred now, and carelessly. They're not all bad people, they're just wrong. Unless you think it's responsible that we euthanize hundreds or thousands of healthy pets every month in every single one of our towns.

Really! I can sit here and let my mutts have litters of puppies without regard, and I give all those pups away to anyone off the street and I'm in no way responsible when those puppies and their puppies and their grandpuppies now number among the hundreds of dogs that have to be euthanized at the pound?
