Times have changed! It's true that a Pro-Choice Republican couldn't win the Nomination for years and years. But...NOW the choice is between HILLARY being the president, or voting for the man who can beat her, namely Guiliani. He would take the south because, in the end, people want the person who will keep their family save, that would be Guiliani, not Hillary! Rudy would take NY and maybe even California. I don't think Morris believes Hillary can lose. He's wrong!

I hope you're right. I'd move outta the country if that happened. I love Condi, Rudi needs to change his views for me to ever think of voting for him and I wouldn't vote for McCain if he were running for the outhouse!

"He doesn't here mention other Republican candidates, like George Allen."
Senators are not good candidates. When was the last senator elected president? Kennedy?

I WILL NOT! cast a vote for John McCain.
Just pointing out that McCain gets over 80% of Republicans in each poll. Runs contrary to Morris' view.
McCain also votes conservative lifetime over 80% of the time.
To: William Creel
I won't be voting for any RINOs either. That's like trying to out-democrat the democrats to beat the democrats.

who is Condi? That is, she's a buddy of Bush's, but what does she stand for?
Aren't we wrestling with that precise issue over SCOTUS? (and allowing the DIMs to define her as a result)

Republican candidates, like George Allen."
Senator Allen is completely unknown to New Hampshire voters. Sure that will change. Its early.

Like I said before... "Massholes " who moved north to avoid taxes.. N.H. is no longer the "Live free or die" state. Maine is almost lost to illegals and their "needs"! Vermont got bought out by New York's equivalent of Massholes in the 80's.
Now we have Rhode Island, if you have a job it's a union job, either teaching or Gov't or youse is unemployed
Connecticut has New Yorkers seeking Kelo, WE ARE ALL SCREWED!

Certainly Giuliani could defeat Hillary in the general election, but he's "way too left" on social issues to prevail in GOP primaries. Giuliani certainly could defeat Hillary- unlike any other mentioned Republican.
He would do well in the War.
He has a record of significant real world accomplishments.
But hell, better Hillary as President for the "social conservatives because if Guiliani gets elected he's personally come to your home to pick up your gun, officiate at Ellen DeGeneres's gay wedding in the Rose Garden, abort some babies just because he can, and maybe he'll even pick some nobody pal of his to the Supreme Court.

Hopefully the candidate would be a good, solid, southern conservative whose name hasn't yet hit the front pages.
With name recognition being a key factor in getting elected, it seems unlikely that a no name would emerge from the ranks.
Basically, if we haven't heard a name bantered about yet, it's not gonna happen.

I shudder and lie awake at nights thinking of Hillarita empowered with the Patriot Act. I suppose we would meet a lot of fellow freepers in the reeducation camps
