What's that? Shaggy and Scooby as young pre-teens?

I believe it's Davy and Goliath. Clay-mation characters, from a Christian kids show from the Lutherans (ELCA variety now).

But now that you mention it, they could be younger and cleaner versions of Shaggy and Scooby.

"The victim suffered ringing to the ears and burns to the hands.

So much for the "harmless prank" and to the "dry ice bomb" theory as well.

I tried to open that link but it wouldn't come up. Have they said what kind of explosive device it was? The ones they found on the Georgia campus may have been made as a prank by students, but it istill under investigation. I guess kids think the threat of terrorism is a joke now.

If this was a prank, why where all three in the same garbage bag?

If it weren't a prank, why all three in a single garbage bag?

From the article, I gather that this was a reaction between two substances to pressurize the bottles. (Similar to the outgasing of vinegar and baking soda.) The bottles didn't explode as expected and the dummies didn't know what to do with them. So, they put them in a bag and dropped them in the dumpster. One bottle continued to build up pressure. This is the one that went off when the man picked them up.

No shrapnel, no criminal intent. Just many many overreacting people.

Then why didn't all three explode?

Could be poor workmanship.

I do suspect this was not ME terrorists, but it wasn't a harmless prank either. You don't leave explosives just laying around ready to go off. Sure you make 'em, but then you set them off, or safe them if you can't get them to go off.

Since the custodian did suffer burns, it had to be some kind of explosive, and probably not TATP, because that actually doesn't produce all that much heat, according the articles I've read recently about it. (Besides the explosion not being energetic enough).

I looked for John Smith's Best Bitters while in the UK. I found it by accident on my last day there. They had it in the restaurant at Warwick Castle. I drank a pint for you and liked it so well that I had one for myself too.

How about bologna on white bread with Nacho Cheese Doritos? Put top bread on, flattent to crunch, and enjoy!

Enjoy!

It was a "troubled" youth who blew himself up at OU as well -- nothing to see here -- move on to the next troubled youth case!

Is this the troubled youth case at Geogia Tech where the explosive went off today or the troubled youth who was responsible for the explosives found near UCLA?

Obviously nothing to see.......or is there....hmmmmmmm

So what we have so far...

1) Two colleges in the USA where a bomb has detontated killing one and burning another within two weeks of each other without media scrutinay.

2) High profile media coverage of New York subway system potential bombing that produced no injuries or deaths only millions in overtime.

I meant to add my reply above: "Are you sure you didn't grow up in my house?"

On this day in 1975 – Bill Clinton, 29, and Hillary Rodham, 27, are married.

Al-Queda can recruit on college campuses but the US military can't!

Sounds like a great tag line.

I'm putting on my tinfoil hat for this one:

Do you think the U.S. government got word of attacks at colleges that could be used to distribute WMD (biological). The President floated the avian flu scenario (using military to control) to see people's reaction. Do they know it might happen and want to be prepared to send in the military if the State government (a la Louisiana) refuse?

Just wondering....
