I was wrong - the western part of the state was definitely hit with some serious flooding. The media didn't exaggerate all that much. On the other hand, the town and state highway department has learned what happens when you scrimp on road foundations.

If it rains a bunch more, we will be in even more danger because the dam could break. Right now, I'm worried about the standing water because the sewers are full and mosquito season hasn't ended yet.
