Hillary, we would love to help you full fill your childhood wish, and send you to the moon.
Permanently.

Back came a curt reply: Girls are not being recruited by the nation's space program. Not that I doubt Hillary's veracity, but I would like to see that letter!

Inspired by Alan Shepard, the first American to journey into space, a 14-year-old from suburban Chicago wrote a letter to NASA in 1961 asking what she needed to do to become an astronaut. Back came a curt reply: Girls are not being recruited by the nation's space program.
Does this mean they were only recruiting 14 year old boys at the time?
To: Sub-Driver
So she wanted to be a Marine astronaut. All this time I thought she was acting macho just to pick up chicks.

I say to heck with conservative opposition to taxpayer funded space programs! Give Hillary command of her own ship and make Shiela Jackson Lee the Navigator.

Hillary said was named for Sir Edmond Hillary, the first white man to climb Mt. Everest (his Sherpa guide probably got there first).

Another lie like the time she wanted to enlist in the Marines.
We are now supposed to believe that the reason she didn't become an astronaut is that she was discriminated against. I am really sick of this pathological liar.
