And is there any value in letting the woman say at least one word before she gets hammered? Sure, there is. I have made no final decision regarding Ms. Miers. My quarrel is just with your use of the passive tense. Forgive me, I'm an English teacher. Passive is usually only used by politicians when they want to hide information. :)

passive tense...
They used to drill us on active voice in the Army schools -- they hated it for whatever reason.
Imo, it's useful. Like you said, it's a good way to obfuscate things. Or to be honest about what you know or don't know.

HA! HA! HA! Do you even know who Charles Krauthammer is?"
LMAO, the bushbots seem to going into Captain Queeg mode, expect to be called into the ward room to determine who ate all the strawberry ice cream.

"Time to turn off Limbaugh, Levin, Ingraham, time to never read a column by Coulter, Malkin, etc ever again!!"
I think the bushbots will find it easier to make a list of conservatives who have not "jumped the shark" on the Miers nomination.
