Uh, I don't think you should say things like that. We must not forget that words posted here are not just read by good FRiends. :)

Tell that to the cop who was shot in the head trying to stop looters.
I was referring to the rumors of rioting evacuees and roving bands of armed gunmen in Baton Rouge, not New Orleans.

No problem. I am glad for the opportunity to clarify my remarks, as I would not want anyone to misunderstand. I have only the utmost respect for those police officers who stayed in New Orleans during that time and did their best to maintain some semblence of order.

Those that stayed, had their hands full.
BTW, have you heard anything lately on the phantom police that are on the payroll? There seems to be a discrepancy between how many cops there actually are...and how many are on the payroll.

I wonder how many illegals slipped over the borders in the last five years and now reside in LV? 5.
I round them up every Monday morning and send them back.
It's amazing how quick they make it back.
And I've noticed that they don't always look the same when they get back here.
Oh well.

Does anyone else remember that? There's no method to their madness.
I remember it but fortunately for us small city types, the terrorists want the big headlines with international name recognition. If they killed a few dozen people in Petersburg, Virginia it would shake up people in the USA but the ignorant Arab in Dumbistan wouldnt think it a big deal.

Thanks for the ping.
Home sick today, and yesterday :-( Have had radio / TV on all morning - heard nothing at all ??
I would have heard something on the ham freqs if something was up.
I do know that there was an exercise last night (Fed related) that involved some ham operations - RACES.
I wonder if somebody took that the wrong way?
Somebody screws up my race watching this weekend and there will be he!! to pay!

"If I was a terrorist I would not hit any of those places. I would whack Chicago simply because the populace is unarmed and helpless and the police are not known for their skills."
Hush your mouth! I work in Chicago, but live in the western burbs, in an adjacent county. I am a gun owner, many times over; though I can't, obviously, possess a firearm within the city limits of Chicago. I know some long-time residents who do, though, because they were grandfathered in. It is illegal in all of Illinois to carry a firearm on your person unless you are engaged in hunting, target shooting, etc. Illinois is the bluest of blue states. I'm out of here as soon as I retire.

It's Louisiana... every government agency here has phantom employees on the payroll. The corruption runs so deep it seems almost ingrained into the system.
Mayor Nagin announced that the city was laying off a bunch of employees, so hopefully the phantom workers were laid off first.

That would have worked. Good thing someone wanted to check his backpack. I wonder if it was on a timer or remotely detonated.

Bump, will listen to KDWN a little later and see if I can
learn anything.
I doubt that I will hear anything, as at 5 am, the "It is all Bush's fault and the whole New York alert is a lie, it is only for P.R" gang was out in full force.
It is useless to attempt telling some fools the truth.
Jim Dallas tried for a couple of days to alert folks to get
survival supplies in, and hit dead air, a couple people kept 2 or 3 gallons of water.......

It seems a strange coincidence that the police guy quit then the question of the phantom cops came out. Looks like he was getting out of dodge before it hit the fan.

9 11 1941 is the day construction began for the pentagon. And 9 + 11 + 1941 = 1961, which could be very significant were we living in the year 1960, for example.
Curiously, however, 1961 gives us TWO more occurrences of the infamous number 19 (the 61 being an inverted 19), which I find far more significant, albeit completely irrelevant.

"Isn't it also the 4th anniversary of the US' attack on the Taliban?"
Yep, The attack on the Taliban in Afghanistan began on my Birthday 10/07. I remember it well, thinking what a wonderful Birthday present from George Bush. A date that had no other significant event besides my Birthday, now had an event associated with it. What a great Birthday that was. Did I mention 10/07 is my Birthday?
