One of the frustrating things about this whole story is that rumors seem to abound. Unfortunately, I don't trust Boren to tell the truth, and except for just a few statements, law enforcement has been a bit cagey on this.

As the father of a current OU student, I appreciate all the links, but I'm having a hard time seperating verified facts from rumors and innuendo.

I don't like having to tell people I'm being sarcastic, it kind of spoils it.

As we all now know, the person responsible was not someone from the Middle East but was Timothy McVeigh and at least one other American ...

But we know that thre is evidence to the contrary.

We can only hope that all of us, including some media outlets, would have learned from that recent rush to incorrect conclusions.

I'm not convinced that this is accurate either, given the potentialcover-up of the OKC bombing.

That being said, you were right about my misreading and taking the statement out of context. Thanks for pointing it out.

It sounds like it was penned by his PR agency.

It is part of a president's job to be a PR guy. This is true even of POTUS. Does anyone want to say that the OU president or even the US president should not do their job ?

Boren should resign or be fired.

Jerry Bohnen (news director of KTOK) read this on KTOK this morning. When he read the part about Murrah Federal Building, and read the part about jumping to the conclusion that it was Middle Easterners, he added "and of course, it wasn't". I have already called KTOK in Oklahoma City and left a message with him. KTOK carries Glen Beck and at 8:30 this morning, Jayna Davis was on talking about the OU suicide bomber. But, of course, Glenn Beck is national and they have no control over what he does.

Also, KTOK, Jerry Bohnen and Mike McCarville use to cover the middle eastern connection extensively for years until it was bought out by Clear Channel Communications. There is way too much effort to sweep this under the rug. What is going on?

Most of the news media, including our own OU Daily, and most citizens have responded very responsibly. Unfortunately, there are always a few who do not

Once again, I'm finding myself proud that I am among the irresponsible few.

This is from "Accuracy In Media", regarding the OU bomber -

"Once again it was left up to bloggers like Mark Tapscott, Michelle Malkin, Wizbang, Gateway Pundit, The Jawa Report and Zombie (photojournalist for Little Green Footballs), as well as the "Freepers" of FreeRepublic.com, to pull together first hand accounts and links to the miniscule amount of news coverage available at the time."

Murrah building..changing the subject

Actually they have a lot in common. Anglos bomb while following AQ MO while leading public figures cover up the evidence of a link.

I think it was a Freudian slip on his part.

I have been assured that law enforcement officials including federal officers have found no evidence of a conspiracy involving others which creates an ongoing threat to our OU community.

I think "girlyboy" Boren is part of the conspiracy.
