I'm partial to the 3/4 face Jefferson obverse, and the buffalo reverse. How about you? (Don't forget to vote on both - the vote button for the reverse is mostly obscured between the previous and next buttons on the bottom)

I wonder what kind of a smile was on his face when he was in Paris with Sally? I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

I recall on Blind Date, the villain's house-keeper says "last time he had a smile like that, he'd run over the cat."

Which Jefferson? George Jefferson (weezy's husband) or William Jefferson (the Louisana congresscrook)? If it's the former, I would like his potrait to have that crazy pissed off look he would get with the maid. If it's the latter, then a potrait with the look on his face, with the bug eyes and the 'I ain't gettin' on that thing!!!', when the chopped tried to take him from his N.O. home.

Hint of a smile? Not quite. I've seen Ted Kennedy show a bigger hint of sobriety.

I am sick of the Treasury changing the money around every years. Leave it alone, unless they go back to the beautiful coinage and paper of the early 20th century.

I like the new Jefferson obverse and the bison reverse - though I doubt the US Mint would care about our opinions. (This combo is also winning the voting.)

I'd buy more than a few rolls... And if wishes were ponies, rides would be free (as well as fertilizer!)

Well the buffalo on the reverse side may be an attempt to revive the Buffalo Nickel of the early 20th century.

That said, I don't have a problem with the new TJ designs.

I'd really like to see them bring back the "Lady Liberty" coins. Remember the old 50 cent piece? The one before Ben Franklin? A huge chunk of real silver. And quite a "piece" in her see-through gown!

If they'd use those designs again we could (maybe) satisfy the feminist demands that we have a women on coins without scaring everyone who looked at them (remember the "Susan B. Anthony" dollar? Looked like Helen Thomas on a bad day).

Yet more evidence of the feminization of our culture.

My worst nightmare. Helen Thomas on a bad(does she ever have a good one?) day!
Oh yeah, when she can puff question a democrat president. Been a while, eh Helen?
Imho, I couldn't find a bad design.

Go to the U.S.Mint web page and check out the new silver dollar dedicated to the 230th Anniversary of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children. The flag raising on Iwo Jima on the obverse side and the globe anchor, eagle on the reverse probably one of the best looking coins out of the mint.

In that it appears we now think we need to present a "cheerful" Jefferson. (Whether he'd have anything to be cheerful about, were he to come back and see what has become of the republic, is beside the point. ;)

Granted, it's just a tiny indicator. There are countless larger ones.
