That is awesome Amy. I think they are on legal ground the way they are doing it. Does Missy have her own Bible?
going to warnder over there in a bit. I always enjoy seeing the pix and then later everyone's commentary & additional pix. Nice there are several "gentle" threads with considerate folks for the most part.
And we have a winner!
38 times!!!????!!!!????
You will a weeks free use of a "u-haul"! or maybe a "snugs" toaster?
Good point, Aquamarine. I had forgotten the pie incident, thanks for reminding me. And yes, she's been pretty negative since then. Good catch.
Thanks so much for your service to our country. God bless.
Thanks Dolly.
My friend's daughter (I'm practically her "aunt") turns 4 in a few days. Last weekend I gave her a birthday gift - her first Bible and Bible cover. She was so happy to have her own Bible to take to church with her on Sundays. She can't read much yet, but she'll learn. :-)
She had one but it seems to have disappeared in her move here.
Her lesson Monday was "God will help you do what He asks you to do". She was singing "This Little Light of Mine" on the way to school Tuesday morning.
I will add a Bible to her Christmas List this year.
38 times... Wow!
That's a wonderful gift, Tulip. Very thoughtful of you.
I remember hearing her describe what happened on a radio talk show at the time, she was livid and seemed to still be stunned by the incident.
I see, and maybe she lost a couple of screws when the pie landed on her head. It could happen, you know.
Calculated that from the time I graduated from high school until now, I've moved my stuff 37 times.
Diver Dave, reading of your move when incapacitated reminded me of a move we made in Port Malabar, Florida in 1971. Our landlord had been laid off at Cape Canaveral and moved back to upstate New York.
Apparently he was having a tough time, we getting calls from the mortgage holder threatening foreclosure on the house we occupied, unable to reach the landlord!
With the Cape downsizing, many houses were available in the area, so we moved just a mile to a nice corner lot house with screened in swimming pool off the living room, complete with its own well...whopping $125 a month, but well worth it with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, living room, kitchen and dining room - carport with laundry/some storage room.
PROBLEM - hubby came down with flu and was definitely "out of it." No sweat, the boys 16 and 17 with several friends - daughter 11. The children were already pros at packing up their own things, and I moved mountains, marking all the boxes with the Room Destination.
While hubby slept, impervious to what was going on, we moved EVERYTHING in our Plymouth station wagon (named the Battleship Galactia); the boys delighted to be drivers and compete to see which team of loaders/drivers/unloaders was the most efficient..:))
We in very short order had the house emptied and had set up all the furniture in the new place, except for the bed in which hubby slumbered on.
He was absolutely delighted by escaping any labor...
As for a garage, in all the places we ever lived - not as necessary in Florida, although had a few carports - the *only* garage we had was in 1978-79 in Panama City in Florida. Used it for storage -washer/dryer, mower, etc. Never had one in all the Northern states/snow states/ etc.
The carport here we screened in for our indoor Kitty's Room..:))
Park on the extra concrete driveway beside it, with patio around the back.
Gettin late, better shut the puter down. Good night.
Actually, Sistah Nan and I tied at 38 - I didn't count one 'temporary' move to m-i-l's house until we found a place to rent in Rochester after Ed got out of the Navy.
Nighty night, Aquamarine. Nice seeing you tonight.
Lovely!
