What does everyone think? Or is everyone accepting this nominee?

I'm accepting her. My vote was cast back in November.

I support the nomination, yes I am ready for the flames and I prepared to be called a kool-aid drinker.
I have no problem with her because I trust the President and the Vice-President.
People like Ann Coulter complains, but she didn't like Roberts so she has NO credibility.

I am not only accepting it, I am becoming an enthusiastic supporter.

Whoso squeals of "cronyism" is motivated by base envy. They did not make friends with the right people at the right time, and now they are hurting.

Well it's not only Ann Coulter. There are many, many more than her.

I trust the President on this one. Wish I felt warmer and fuzzier but I trust him. If a GOP block comes up so be it.

I didn't accept her yesterday. I do today.
Bush doesn't spend his "political capital" getting her confirmed cuz some Dims jumped the gun and supported her.
He know this candidate better than any other he could have chosen; less risk of a "closet liberal" SCJ
He avoids counting on the Republican wussies in the Senate to go to battle with him
Frankly, it's a briliant strategery.

I don't know enough about her to have any strong feelings one way or the other. Ive got my problems with the president but that's a different battle all together.

I believe and trust George Bush voted for him especially for
conservative courts . He knows what he's doing..... he's a gambler in politics and has the Lord on his side... everything will be fine

Could you please go into detail as to why. I am just now starting my research on her, and have yet to form an opinion. Not that it really matters once I do.
Last night my wife asked me if we liked Miers or not. It was the first time that I realized that I really have two opinions when it comes to politics!
To: jdhljc169
Stopping her??? Not as long as Bush and the dems are united in having her. They make an unstoppable team.

I don't know much about the candidate, but tend to lean to the skeptical side.
I hate to see the USSC become another institution where equality of outcomes trumps equality of oppotunity.
Conservatives have been taking a beating on GOP appointments to the Court since the Eisenhower Administration. History will tell the story.

Well, the best I've seen anyone come up with is that they trust the president so....I don't know!

I think we should believe Miers and President Bush when they say they she is an originalist.
Let's not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!

What's John Roberts have to do with it?
My question comes back to this...Out of all the picks, if she wasn't the president's friend, would she have gotten the nomination?
